Remembering to Be Thankful Day 5

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to Day 5 of my Remembering to be Thankful.  The first 3 days I expressed my thankfulness for God and Day 4 I expressed my Thankfulness for my son.

Today I would like to express my thankfulness for my family.  It would be impossible to choose person by person in order of thankfulness.  My family has been there my entire life.  Through ups and downs.  We all live very close together so we drive each other crazy but we are always right there when we need each other too.  I love my family so much and don't know what I would do without them.  I am so grateful for my family.

Sincerely,

Remembering to Be Thankful Day 3

Hey Everyone,

Welcome to Day 3 of My Remembering to Be Thankful.

Today I would like to express my Thankfulness for God the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit was always there from the beginning too.

"And the Earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."~Genesis 1:2

The Holy Spirit was promised from the Father after Christ died on the Cross.

"And, being assembled together with them Commaned them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the Promise of the Father, which, Said He, you have heard of Me.
For John truly baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days hence." ~Acts 1:4-5~

And The Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost.

"2:1)And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2:2)And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
2:3)And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
2:4) And they were filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other Tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance,"
~Acts 2:1-4~

The Holy Spirit is very special in my life.  I find it hard to explain so I posted mostly scripture.  I am so very thankful for The Holy Spirit and the relationship it plays in my relationship with God.  I'm sorry this is very brief but it is well explained through out the entire Bible.  I just wanted to express my Thankfulness for The Holy Spirit the best I know how,

Sincerely,

Remembering to Be Thankful Day 2

Hey Everyone,

Welcome to Day 2 of My Remembering to Be Thankful.  I am still very excited about my second blog entry for this month.

Today I would like to express my Thankfulness for God the Son, Jesus.

Jesus was always there from the beginning.  "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." ~John 1:1~

Jesus died for my sins.  He washed me with His blood and made me new.  Only through Him am I Saved.

"Jesus said unto Him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes to the Father but by Me.  If you had known Me, you should have known My Father also: and from Henceforth you know Him, and have seen Him." ~John 14:6-7~

Jesus tore the veil and made us one with the Father again.  He died for my sins,  He walks with me daily through all my ups and downs with life.  I have my own personal relationship with Jesus.

The day I accepted Jesus as my Savior.  I was in 5th grade.  I remember sitting in that small church, new in the Faith, accepting Jesus into my life.  I don't remember her name but I remember the woman feeling so blessed that it was her Bible that was used to lead me to the Lord.  Hearing Romans 10:9 for the first time,

"That if you shall confess with your mouth Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be Saved."

I wouldn't understand much for years to come but no matter the roads I crossed I would not give up Jesus and He held onto me because I am His.  He still hold onto me, leading me and letting me run back to Him, because I need Him.  I will always need Him.

Jesus is definitely the Way, the Truth, and the Life.  I am so thankful to have Him leading me through my life.

Sincerely,

Remembering to Be Thankful Day 1

Hey Everyone,

Welcome to Day 1 of My Remembering to Be Thankful.  I am very excited about my very first blog entry for this month.  I am going to at least begin my month by listing what I am thankful for in order of thankfulness, as the month goes on this will probably get harder and it will fall through but for about the first week or so I am going to try.  If it doesn't work then I will change it up.

Today I would like to express my Thankfulness for God the Father.

I know everyone out there is not religious or is religious but does not believe the same as me.  Which I am not here to push or judge anyone, however, I am here to express what I am thankful for, so please do not be negative to me and I will not be negative to you.  It is always nice to get to know one another and what is important to each other.

I am ever so thankful for God the Father, Who sent His Only Son to die for my sin.

The Bible says,
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have Everlasting Life.  For God sent not His Son into the World to condemn the world; but that the world though Him might be Saved." ~John 3:16&17

I believe this to be so beautiful and true love (Agape).  The wages of sin is death and God sent His only Son to save us, to take our place so we could live with Him forever and no longer be separated.  I feel the weight of my sin everyday and the only thing that lifts this sin is the Love that God sent here to die for me.  God is Good all the Time, and All the Time God is Good.

Romans 10:9 instructs, "That is you shall confess with your mouth Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be Saved."

I choose to believe and am so Thankful for God the Father and all He has done in my life.

Sincerely,

Remembering to Be Thankful

Hello Everyone,

I know every year I do the 7 Days of Thanksgiving on my blog and sometimes on my personal Facebook page I did the 30 Days of Thanksgiving thing like everyone else does.  This year I am going to kind of combine the two and do a Blog Entry, which will be posted on my Facebook Page(and other Social Media cites) also.  The point of this is for me to take time out of each day to focus on something I am very thankful for and to display my thankfulness.  Hopefully, I will follow through on this and make in meaningful and not rush through it or skip post.  I think I have so much to be thankful for and should take time to express my thankfulness instead of taking it for granite.  So I will be seeing you guys a lot this month and hope you guys enjoy these upcoming entry.

Reviewed Goals for October 2016 (and October Book Update)

Goals for October 2016

Hey everyone,
So here is an update for October 2016.  I know I didn't post nearly as much as I wanted to.  I started stuff I didn't finish and did things I hadn't planned.  Which is okay with me.  I'm not completely set on everything being perfect.  I like making goals and deadlines but I like not following them even more.

So my first goal was;
Goal 1: Begin a new Bible Study:
And I do plan on beginning one this month.  I decided to follow Time Warp Wife(30 Days of Gratitude) beginning on October 17 and running through Novemeber 12.  So if you would like to also follow alone with the Bible Study you have sometime to look at the resources on her page.  She is fantastic at online group studies and would definitely recommend it.

And though I did do this for a week after a week I didn't continue and got way behind.  Which is fine because I never began the Gratitude Journal I bought.  So I restarted today(November 1, 2016) and am running this through the month of November 2016 because it seems to be fitting anyways since it is the month of Thanksgiving.  Plus, I am going to do my things I am thankful for too like I normally do.

Okay, My Second goal was;
Goal 2: Read a new book every week
I did finish Suzanne Collin's last book "Mockingjay" the other day, making me finished with this series.

"The Hunger Games"
Began: September 9, 2016
Finish: September 15, 2016

"Catching Fire,"
Began: September 19, 2016
Finished September 24, 2016

"Mockingjay"
Began: September 26, 2016
Finished:October 3, 2016

I still however plan on reading at least one Halloween book every week in the month of October (which I will give you details in another entry).

And though I did start this goal I did not finish it.  I bought all the books and never even finished one of them.  Which is fine because I will have 4 new books stashed away to read later.  For the time being, I am going to sit them aside though.  I did take a picture of what they all were though which I will include below.

Which these books are(top to bottom), "The Halloween Tree" by Ray Bradbury, "Dark Harvest" by Norman Partridge, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by Washington Irving, and last but certainly not least The Graveyard book by one of my all time favorite authors Neil Gaiman.

Goal 3:
Write a short story every week for submission (will not be posted online).

This did not happen.  I don't think I wrote even one story.

Goal 4:
Learn something new.

I did begin learning some new art techniques but did not learn nearly as much as I wish I could have.

Goal 5:
Go somewhere new.  (Already did this, will post about later).

I did do this, I will still post this later.

Goal 6:
Carve a pumpkin :) who wouldn't make this a goal for October.

I did not do this, but I did make my very first flower  arrangement on my own for fall.

But there is the goal/reading update for October 2016.  Hopefully I will post so much this month you will get tired of reading/seeing anything from me.

If you haven't please go and like my Facebook page, Brittani Laws Writing which you can easily do by clicking the link in this sentence, which will take you straight to it.

In the meantime keep checking for more post by me because I plan on posting much more.
