There are these times when I sit down for some serious me and notebook time and I get this.

Wednesday February 24, 2016

Hello,

I hope everyone is having a good day today.  I know I have had a great day(thanks for asking).

I would give you a vague list of every event that happened to me today but you would probably get tired of reading this thing and I would probably get sick of typing it.  Very graciously, I am going to only give you my highlights of my day so we are both spared such misery.  You're welcome.

Firstly(that is event #1),
I won the, "Impossible Question of the Day" today!  For those of you who are completely in the dark of what the "Impossible Question of the Day," is, let me shed some light on the subject.  Statesville has this really great radio station on 550AM & 92.9 FM named Country Legends* and in the mornings they ask you this really interesting question that is sometimes tricky to get.  This morning I called and got the question correct.  Really cool of course.  I am receiving a prize via mail.  I can't wait for it to show up.  If it's something really cool I might even post on here about it.

Next(that is event #2),
Later on this morning when I had to go to the Gas Station and since I went to Sheetz I looked around some like normally.  Now I have bought and looked at many magazines trough out the years but today I bought and looked at a magazine (*coughs) that I have never actually bought or looked at before.  The magazine I am referring to would be the March 2016 Playboy magazine.  Why, well for one, because I can.  That being said another reason why is because Playboy's recent decision of..."censoring" their magazines.  I mean it is kinda neat to posses a copy of something so unique.  For you who have never purchased a Playboy before they have words in them, not just pictures.  I was pleased to discover the many well written articles that covers many of the pages of the magazine with many words and no pictures.  It seems to be a well balanced magazine with interesting point of views.  In which I am all for.  I guess I can add this magazine with the many other one's I like to read(like "Poets and Writers," "The Sun Magazine," "Writer's Digest," "Our State," knitting magazines and "National Geographic".)

Last("but not lest" that is event #3),
I got Lemonade.  It is really good.  Over a gallon.  I can't wait to drink it.

All this being said I guess that is all I have to say right now and I will end my blog 2 of 2016.

Sincerely,
 Brittani Laws Writing

Monday February 22, 2016

Hey,

It's been a while since I have posted anything on this blog so I thought maybe tonight I would post something.  So this past year I have been trying to learn all the new things I always wanted to learn but just didn't have the time to do, the money, or maybe even the courage to do.  Finally, many years past due, I am reading "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy," which the cheapest way to get the entire series on Amazon was to order(Prime shipping of course), "The Ultimate Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy."  Please forgive me my credentials, I'm 6 years fresh out of college and believe I might have gotten a little behind on the official ways to properly do this.

Now in the very front of this book is the "Forward:What Was He Like, Douglas Adams?"  Written by one of my all time favorites, Neil Gaiman, January 2002.  In this essay is a very fantastic quote, which I heard many years ago(watching the movie Julie and Julia).  The quote is exactly, "("I love deadlines," he said once.  "I love the whooshing sound they make as they go by.")"  end quote of quote.

My point of this rant is, of course, me and deadlines.  This quote completely describes me.  If it didn't describe me I would have already posted many great adventures and entries on this blog this past year instead of it almost being a year since I last posted.  I would love to make you a promise I will do better this year but I it would be a lie so I will not promise this.  Hopefully, I will be able to entertain you enough in this blog entry you can read it for another year(yeah, right).  I'm having fun rambling on however, so I guess that's what matters.  Me having fun.  Plus if I ever die you guys can come back and be like, "Did you know Brittani had a blog.  Yeah, here is the link," and I am sure this blog will get more views then than it ever did now.

If I do happen to write more this year, because I do quit enjoy writing/rambling, I have some really great things I have come up with you might like to read, if by chance you do read this.  In the meantime, I hope everyone has a good night and has had a good 2016 so far.  Remember everyday is what you make it, so you might as well make it good.

Sincerely,
